The SPIES-DETOX project carried out further trails designed to verify the results of the washing trials carried out in project TALISMAN.

Scallop flesh which, raw unwashed, is above safe limits for Domoic Acid (ASP) can be rendered safe by effective removal of the hepato-pancreas and washing –(as described) – roe-on.
